Mother of pearl is globally known as a very distinguished material. It is brought from the inside layer of some shells and it is a beautiful hard silvery substance. Mother of Pearl was introduced in Bethlehem by the Franciscan monks, and since then it has been involved in the artisans work as a symbol of good luck and prosperity.
