
AREEN BOSHEH – The designer behind the collection
Areen Bosheh is an accomplished fashion designer from Ramallah, Palestine. After earning her International Baccalaureate Science Diploma at Ramallah Friends Schools, she pursued a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design at NABA Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, practicing her skills in Textile Design and Garment Construction. Areen gained recognition as a top ten finalist in the Designers for the Future competition alongside Lebanese designer Rami Kadi and Jamalouki Magazine.
Upon returning to Palestine, she established her own design studio, focusing on handcrafted pieces tailored to her clients’ needs. Areen also spent two years at Birzeit University as a teaching assistant and mentor, helping to shape future designers. Currently, she collaborates with organizations that support artisans, driving her passion for fashion and community empowerment while continuing to innovate and inspire in the industry.

With 30 years of experience, Amal Thawabetah is a skilled artisan specializing in Palestinian embroidery, including (Tahriri Tatriz) and (Falahi Tatriz). Motivated by a deep appreciation for her heritage, she decided to learn and master embroidery, transforming it into her lifelong craft. 47-year-old Iyad Karama is a skilled leather artisan specializing in handcrafted bags, wallets, belts, and shoes. Iyad’s passion for this craft began in his childhood when he would visit and work alongside leather artisans after school with his friends. Despite coming from a family with no background in leatherworking, he was captivated by the entire process from a young age, which ultimately led him to pursue it as his profession.

Abeer Brigiah, a talented artisan from Beit Fajar in Bethlehem, is known for her innovative approach to traditional Palestinian embroidery. At 33 years old, she combines her lifelong passion for embroidery, learned from her mother and grandmother, with her expertise in leatherwork and natural straw. Abeer’s signature style involves hand-embroidering intricate designs, including Arabic calligraphy in the Diwani script, directly onto natural leather. Her creations, including bags, clothing, and accessories, beautifully merge heritage with contemporary design.
Abeer’s journey began in 2017, driven by her studies in fashion design and advanced training at the Textile and Fashion Institute. Inspired by individual experiences and the rich stories of her homeland, she views her craft to preserve Palestinian heritage and share it with the world. Her favorite part of the process is transforming a design into a tangible art piece that reflects the authenticity of her culture.
